Employed as an assistant researcher at the Institute for Modern Serbian History between 1988 and 1996. In 1996 I was appointed to the post of the assistant lecturer at the Faculty of Philosophy, Chair of Contemporary General History. I got my MA degree in 1992 and my PhD in 2001. Now I work as an assistant professor.

My first project dealt with Serbian Social-Democratic Party and its attitude towards the Balkan Wars and the First World War. In 1994 I published the book Temptation of Principles. Serbian Social Democratic Party and Serbian War Aims 1912-1918. I worked on few projects concerning current history textbooks in Serbia. First project was in 1994 organized by the Center for Anti War Actions, Belgrade and the second was coordinated by "Georg Eckert Institut" from Braunschweig, Germany. Now I am a vice-president of the History Education Committee, organized by the Center for Democracy and Reconciliation in South Eastern Europe based in Thessaloniki. From 1994 to 1995 I researched for the project "Serbian Side of the War", for which I wrote the study "The Traumatic Circle of Serbian Opposition 1989-1994", published in Belgrade in 1996 and translated into German and English. The title of my PhD was “European Democratic Models with Serbian Political and Intellectual Elite 1903-1914” and it is going to be published as a book.

With Prof. Milan Ristovic I edited the book of additional teaching materials for secondary schools “Childhood in the past” which is now in use in 11 countries of South-East Europe.

I was a co-editor of the volume "Serbia in the Modernizing Processes of the 20. Century" (1994), "Women's Position as the Measure of the Modernization in Serbia in 19 and 20 centuries" (1998) and I published the third volume “Serbia in the Modernizing Processes of the 19. and 20th century. The role of elites”, Belgrade 2002.

I am a co-editor of the "Annual of Social History" and one of the founders of the Association for Social History in Belgrade.

Thanks to the Soros fund of Yugoslavia I spent two months doing research in the Foreign Ministry Archives in Paris in 1994. In 1997 I had a scholarship at Freie Universitat Berlin, in the Center for Comparative Social History led by Professor Jurgen Kocka.
